Rob “Birdman” Hephner brings over 35 years of experience in communication, media management, business development, and community engagement. As the Owner of Birdman Media, Rob has built a trusted digital platform that highlights local events, businesses, and voices throughout Arizona’s White Mountains. His flagship production, Birdman on the Mountain, has released over 1,000 episodes, earning a reputation for keeping the community informed, connected, and inspired.
Previously, as the Creative Services Specialist for the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside, Rob transformed the town’s communication efforts, leading internal and external messaging strategies, launching podcast initiatives, and fostering greater transparency and public engagement. He also spearheads the town’s five-year Economic Development Plan, partnering with local businesses and the Chamber of Commerce to drive innovation and long-term growth.
Rob’s diverse background includes designing live and remote broadcast systems, managing SEO and digital reputation, and implementing IT solutions that save time and money. His leadership proved especially vital during the COVID-19 pandemic, when effective communication was essential. Known for his creative problem-solving and forward-facing leadership, Rob “Birdman” Hephner continues to champion innovative strategies that strengthen communities and deliver measurable results.
